Job Description

The Project Manager will oversee and manage the daily operations of the janitorial contract for Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC). The selected individual must have a minimum of five (5) consecutive years of leadership experience in janitorial services and leading a staff of over eighty (80) janitors. The Project Manager is expected to be on call twenty-four (24) hours a day to handle emergencies.

  • Supervises large crew of Custodial Workers, to include performance evaluations, leave requests, and initiating disciplinary recommendations
  • Plans, schedules, and monitors the work of Custodial team
  • Responsible for developing the morning and night shifts schedules and assigning staffs based on workload 
  • Approves weekly timesheets for all staffs
  • Responsible for tracking and approving vacations and personal time off (PTO)
  • Ensures all employees complies with all established company policies and procedures while upholding the security and confidentiality of documents and data
  • Demonstrate leadership by example by participating in all phases of custodial work as needed
  • Responsible for employees performance and inspects work in progress and upon completion
  • Conducts performance reviews of project staffs as need 
  • Reports the need for building repairs, equipment repairs, key replacements and office upkeep to the CO/COR
  • Orders and maintains the appropriate tools, equipment, supplies, and other materials needed for cleaning and maintaining buildings and/or surrounding areas
  • Maintains records, prepares activity reports, and requisitions for supplies and equipment when necessary
  • Prepares and conducts training for janitorial staffs
  • Attends management meetings and prepares monthly status reports

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree, Bachelors preferred
  • Minimum of (5) years’ supervisory experience in janitorial services
  • Valid Georgia State driver’s license
  • Knowledge of how to effectively schedule workers
  • Knowledge with Microsoft office, SharePoint, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to organize and establish work processes
  • Must be able to obtain a clear criminal background
  • Obtain and maintain the appropriate Security Clearance if required to access the worksite
  • Leader: Inspires teammates 
  • Excellent verbal and written communications
  • Project management certification is desired
