Under moderate supervision, provides general guidance and direction to cleaners and participates in performing care and detail cleaning tasks on the interior and exterior facilities throughout the Federal Law Enforcement Center (FLETC).
Responsibilities
- Provides general guidance and direction to janitors, monitors work in progress and reviews completed work.
- Perform general cleaning of inside and outside windows, doors, walls, tables chairs, escalators and elevators.
- Check and clean parking lots, stairwells, sweep and steam pavers and surrounding areas.
- Operate scrubbers, steam cleaner, vacuum cleaner, forklift and electric carts when required.
- Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of: Floor maintenance; appropriate use of chemicals, solvents, tools and equipment; verbal communications, providing guidance and direction to others, principles and practices of supervision.
- Ability to: Operate various motorized equipment, strip, seal, scrub, and polish floors; follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures; Walk up and down stairs, walk and stand for extended periods of time; deal diplomatically with the public, supervisors and fellow employees.
- A Valid Driver's License
- High School Deploma or GED
